Ajithaa Edirimane is an experienced and trusted Legal Counsel to both individuals and companies. She has been
practicing law since 1985, initially as an in-house lawyer cum Company Secretary heading the legal department of a
reputed merchant bank, industrial entity, shipping company and a leading real estate company in Sri Lanka. She
also
served in the legal department of one the world’s leading shipping companies in Germany gaining valuable exposure
to
efficient and timely legal service.
After a long career in the corporate sector, she established her own law office for legal counseling, notarial and
conveyancing work with a practice based in Colombo and in the Gampaha District. When she is retained by a client,
each assignment is given personal attention and a close rapport built with the client until the assignment is
concluded.
Whether it is drafting a complex legal document or issuing a Letter of Demand, Ajithaa achieves the best possible

taking into consideration the advantages and disadvantages of the sequence of events. She works with external

Practitioners as an Advisor and instructing Attorney in litigation and appears for clients in inquiries and
arbitrations.
Ajithaa Edirimane is well established as a leading lawyer in condominium property law and has advised on
condominium property development schemes, drafting off plan contracts, sales and leases of condominium units and
arranging settlements in condominium property disputes. Her services are also sought by law firms in condominium
property matters as an expert in this field of law.
When she is not practicing law, she is an avid photographer with an interest in landscapes, portraits, wild life,
architecture
and food photography. She is a keen member of the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka and participates in their
regular
activities. She is also a qualified Interior Designer practicing in this art as a leisure pursuit.
